//Who is responsible#

The controller for any personal data processed through this site is SumanKumar Phuyal, working as an independent freelancer rather than through a company, reachable at contact@hire-web-dev.com. There is no company, no registered entity and no data protection officer — a one-person practice sits well below the threshold that requires one.

If the law where you are requires a postal address for a data controller, add yours here. Some jurisdictions ask for one even from sole traders; many do not.

//What this site collects#

Nothing. No analytics script, no tag manager, no advertising pixel, no session recording and no cookie of any kind — which is why there is no consent banner: there is nothing to consent to. Local storage and session storage are unused.

There are also no third-party requests. The fonts were previously loaded from Google, which sent your IP address to a Google server on every page view. They are now served from this domain, so your browser talks to nobody but this site.

//What the server necessarily sees#

Serving a page means receiving a request, so the host processes your IP address, the requested URL, a timestamp and your user agent in ordinary access logs. The legal basis is legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR — operating and securing the site. Logs are retained for [RETENTION PERIOD, e.g. 14 days], are not analysed for behaviour, are not linked to other data and are not used to profile you.

The host is [YOUR HOSTING PROVIDER], acting as a processor under a data processing agreement. If your host sits outside the EEA, say so here and name the transfer mechanism relied on, normally the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

//If you email me#

Your message and address sit in my mailbox at [YOUR EMAIL PROVIDER]. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) where we are discussing an engagement and Article 6(1)(f) otherwise. I keep correspondence while the conversation is live and for roughly a year after, then delete it — except where tax or commercial law requires longer for invoices and contracts.

There is no mailing list. I do not share enquiries with anyone, do not sell them, and do not use them to train any model.

//Your rights#

Under Articles 15 to 22 GDPR you may request access to the data I hold about you, correction, erasure, restriction of processing or a portable copy, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interest. For this site the honest answer to the first request is almost always “an email thread, if you have written to me”. Write to the address above and I will respond within one month.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. For an establishment in Berlin that is the Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit; you may equally complain to the authority where you live or work. [CONFIRM YOUR COMPETENT AUTHORITY.]

//No automated decisions#

There is no profiling and no automated decision-making within the meaning of Article 22. Nothing here scores, ranks or segments visitors, and providing any data at all is voluntary — every page is readable without giving me anything.
